In the beginning,

GOD . . .

                                                                                                                                            (Genesis 1:1)

"...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God RAISED HIM from the dead,
YOU WILL BE SAVED."
Romans 10:9

Wonder.

The heart of a wildflower; delicate, fresh, intricate, amazing.

A microscopic cell that flourishes in the freezing  waters off the coast of Antarctica.

The wonder of a distant planet, drawn close by the power of a telescope.

An infant sleeping.

The look of love on the face of a dog.

Windswept pines on a hill.

Turquoise waves breaking upon a beach.

A soft summer night.

In the beginning, God created.  God created the heavens and the earth.  He spoke, and the world came into being.  He spoke, and light became.  He spoke again, and waters covered the earth, and in the midst of the waters, earth was created.

And so God created plants yielding seed, fruit trees bearing fruit, lights to separate the day from the night.  And God created swarms of living creatures that swam in the sea, and animals that crept and ran and hopped and leaped and burrowed in the land, and every winged creature that filled the sky.

God said that everything was good.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.  And God blessed them.

(Genesis 1:26-28)
